Banquets Banquet Captain

Banquet Captain


The Olde Mill Inn, an award winning property, seeks an experienced Banquet Captain. Candidate must be able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends and holidays and must have good communication skills. Must be bi-lingual.

1.Acts in a safe manner for yourself, the guest, other employees, vendors &others with whom you come in contact
2.Excellent inter personal skills and superior presentation skills
3.Manages the functions on the floor as assigned to them by the maitre d' or banquet Manager
4.Meet with the Banquet Manager to review tasks and people and then coordinate pre and post function information
5.Handling guest relations and the principal contact for the function
6.Set assignments for the staff and instruct the staff in their assignments
7.Communicate with the kitchen to coordinate activities
8.Prepare banquet bill at the conclusion of the function
9.Wedding -- Captain works the floor while maitre d' works with the kitchen and other assignments as necessary
10.Do pre and post assignments to the staff

Banquets Head Houseman

Head Houseman-Banquet Department


The Olde Mill Inn, an award winning property, seeks a head banquet housemen. Candidate must be able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends and holidays and must have good communication skills. Must be bi-lingual.

Summary: Set up, break down, cleaning and re-setting of all meeting and banquet rooms. Set coffee breaks for meetings. Set all buffets for lunches, dinners and cocktail hours.
